Jonathan Snook will present "Pile it on with CSS" — Taking a look at the power and flexibility of positioning techniques

Some may scoff and say that CSS designs are boring or difficult to build. This session will show off some ways to break outside the box and use positioning techniques to aid in creating complex solutions while still maintaining flexibility and accessibility.

Molly Holszchlag brings her CSS and Standards Wisdom!

Renown author, speaker, and teacher Molly Holszchlag takes a different look at why we’re challenged to be designers and developers at the Webmaster Jam Session.

She will look at how browsers are developed, show several test cases that reveal problematic issues from various browse perspectives, and what it will take to solve these concerns and get back to the vision of a truly interoperable, accessible web. She will present some cool demos as well as photos of the IE7 Trident Engine mapping, DOM trees in Mozilla and so forth.

The 2007 lineup just keeps getting better! Now Dan Rubin of WebGraph and Superfluousbanter fame will be at WJS teaming up with design magician Bryan Veloso to speak about the details designers often miss. It promises to be a great session.

Dan is a highly accomplished user interface designer and usability consultant, with over ten years of experience as a leader in the fields of web standards and usability, specifically focusing on the use of (X)HTML and CSS to streamline development and increase flexibility and accessibility. In addition to his work for clients including Microsoft, Yahoo, Google and Geffen/Universal Media, he is a sought-after public speaker and author, most recently penning Pro CSS Techniques and Web Standards Creativity.

We have confirmed more great sessions for this year’s Jam Session and the line up is better than ever.

James Craig from Apple will discuss making Websites for the iPhone, Chris Perry (the guy that does Web marketing for General Motors) will talk about taking advantage of social networks and word-of-mouth marketing online; Darrin Ward (one of the world’s top search engine experts) will share some top tips on improving your search engine rank; and Doris Brown from Pantone will be there to talk about how colors on your Website affect the way people use it. Plus there are lots of other sessions on design, development, seo, marketing, branding, and more!

After a full day of cramming XHTML, CSS, and Photoshop tips into your head it helps to wash it all down with a nice cold beverage. Join your fellow web junkies at the Jam Session parties for a few cold ones and a little fun.

Blue Flavor/Microsoft Party
Friday at 9pm the web wizards from Seattle are hosting drinks, fun and frolic at Silhouettes Bar in the Adam's Mark. Come on down, have a few free drinks and play Guitar Hero or Dance Dance Revolution on the giant XBox screen; a game of Pool, Shuffleboard, or just hang out and enjoy the fun.

Adobe Closing Party
Wow! Talk about a party. This is one night you really can't miss. We scored the VIP roof-top deck at the infamous Lizard Lounge for one of the biggest events of the year — The Wet Grooves Luau and BBQ.

This is a huge beach style blowout with world class DJs spinning until sunrise. Overlook the Dallas skyline, and all the party fun from the exclusive VIP deck while you sip free drinks and mingle with the Jam Session crew. The fun starts at 9pm Saturday and we will have shuttles setup to get you there and back. Meet us there and wrap up the Jam Session with a bang!
