Nishant Kothary
Currently a User Experience Evangelist at Microsoft, Nishant Kothary engages top designers and agencies around to the world on delivering outstanding experiences. He also works with product teams to shape the long-term strategy of Microsoft’s suite of designer tools, Expression Studio. Before joining Microsoft, Nishant worked as a Program Manager at Amazon.com where, among other things, he was instrumental in the launch of Amazon’s 35th product category, Amazon Unbox Video Downloads. In his prior life, Nishant developed and taught courses at Purdue University on subjects ranging from web design fundamentals to object-oriented programming in Flash. He also spent a lot of his free time organizing and participating in the annual SIGGRAPH conferences ultimately chairing the Web Program in 2005.
Nishant holds B.S. degrees in Computer Science & Interactive Media Design, and half a Master’s in nothing in particular. You can Google him for links to books, academic papers and courses he’s written and presented.
